Castle Law Sunset
Deep in the Pentland range, hidden behind the faces of Hillend and Allermuir – that are normally visible from the city of Edinburgh, one can find iron age forts and ancient grazing land. Bathed in golden, autumnal, early-evening sunshine. Taken in early autumn.
Woodstack
High on the southern edge of the Pentland Hill range lie a stack of cut timber. Weathered over years, from the sun, wind, and rain. Exposed with no shelter from the harsh conditions only found on the high tops. Silvered, soaking up the last of the evening sun. Home now to many a small creature.Continue reading “Woodstack”
Pentland Sunset
Sunset on the east flanks of the slopes of Scald Law and Carnethy Hill – the highest and second highest of the Pentland Hill range. From here, the path leads through a col to the village of Balero, on the western side of the hills. Taken in early Autumn.
