Deep in the Pentland range, hidden behind the faces of Hillend and Allermuir – that are normally visible from the city of Edinburgh, one can find iron age forts and ancient grazing land. Bathed in golden, autumnal, early-evening sunshine. Taken in early autumn.

High above the southern shores of Loch Ness, with open, wild muirs covered in heathery blooms hardy Highland sheep roam freely. Pure woolen coats and strong hill legs. Taken in late summer.
